What is Vitiligo, its causes and treatment?

Melanocytes which give colour to the skin are lost in Vitiligo, resulting in white patches. Vitiligo is an autoimmune condition. It can be caused by hormonal changes and stress. Common treatment includes Immuno-suppressants.

Homeopathic treatment of Vitiligo

White patches result when melanocytes producing melanin are lost or atrophied. In modern medicine, there is no cure for Vitiligo except by managing it with steroidal ointments. Whereas in Homeopathy we stimulate the functioning of melanocytes which results in proper secretion of melanin thereby normal skin color returns without any side effects. In this case, Miss KJ was given homeopathic medicines for Vitiligo. Since it is a progressive disease, our first aim was to stop new spots from coming. Within a few months of homeopathic treatment for Vitiligo, there were no new spots. Gradually, the white patches started regaining their original skin color. Within 2 years of Homeopathic treatment, Vitiligo spots disappeared completely.
