What is Psoriasis?
Struggling with Psoriasis? Tried topical and local treatment?
Psoriasis is a very common chronic skin disorder affecting millions of individuals around the globe. It normally occurs on the elbows, knees, scalp, and face, but can also spread to the rest of your body. The symptoms are usually mild and take several months to
even years to develop.
One of the most common types of psoriasis is plaque psoriasis, which can be diagnosed through blood tests. Plaque psoriasis has two layers of skin covered with silvery colored plaques that form over time. Diagnosis is often made by noticing where the plaques appear and how long they've developed. Typically, if someone has plaques of psoriasis, the doctor will test them for diabetes, Lupus, HIV, and some other diseases that commonly associate with the development of psoriasis. Another common type of psoriasis that is also commonly associated with another disease is Seborrheic dermatitis.
Seborrheic dermatitis is characterized by greasy, yellowish scales that appear on the scalp, eyebrows, nose, and chest. Because of their symptoms being very similar to those of psoriasis, it is difficult to diagnose the condition as being of a different cause, but it is important to note that this condition may cause severe symptoms in individuals who have other skin conditions, such as eczema.
Homoeopathy treats the cause from its internal essence. Autoimmune conditions are where our own body attacks itself, as it cannot differentiate body’s healthy cells from outside allergens. Psoriasis is an autoimmune condition where the body itself destroys healthy skin cells and the skin is covered with silvery colored plaques that form over time. Homoeopathy improves the immune response of the body in such a way that the body does not easily get overwhelmed and attack its own cells. Homoeopathy treats the root cause of the disease so that a long lasting cure is obtained without any side effects.
